Welcome to the EnergyTechPro-ICİ Demo.
This demo is a fully functioning, although severely limited, version of Energy Technology Profiles Industrial Commercial - TechPro-IC. The navigation system has been shortened by the removal of several topics/pages, and the content of several of the topics/pages has been removed. The Index Section has also been removed. Search is fully functional for the topics/pages that remain in the demo.
The Gas Technologies that are the most complete in this demo are 'Boilers', 'Air Compressors', 'Cogeneration' and 'Gas Air Conditioning'. Selecting one of these Technologies will give you a good demo of the kind of information that is contained in each technology in the full version.
The Electric Technologies that are the most complete in this demo are Chillers with basic information on Lighting, Motors and a few others.
Look for YELLOW highlighting that indicates a topic with information contained in the Demo.

Energy Technology Profiles, Energy TechPro©, was created by Bob Fegan (Author) as a training aid and reference program for energy utilities' Large Commercial and Industrial Reps/Consultants. It's current format was initiated in mid- 2001 and continues to expand as new information about energy technologies becomes available.
With the introduction of the internet and various activities of energy associations and manufacturers, we no longer lack for information. What we need is a way to organize the best information so we can find what we need when we need it and know how to correctly apply what we 'know'.
The information content of Technology Profiles comes from a wide variety of sources, including the author's experience of over 20 years in the energy business. The author has written an Introduction or Overview, Applications, and other general information about each technology. Additional details are then added from various manufacturers, trade organizations, and other recognized experts. If a substantial portion of any topic comes from a source other than the author's own words, that source will be identified either in the content or at the end of that section/page. Often the source is a manufacturer or association web site, sales literature, trade magazines, and other public information, that may include trade marks and claims to various copyrights.
There has been no attempt to include all manufacturers or 'endorsed/approved' manufacturers in any technology. In some cases, there may be only one or very few manufacturers. No product endorsements are made and no fees have been paid by anyone who has products or services referenced in TechPro. Materials have been selected according to their value in explaining a given technology and by their availability in the public sector.
In some cases the 'author' is really an 'editor' in that I have selected small amounts of information from several sources and combined them into what I think is the information that a utility rep needs to know to do THEIR job; not what may be needed to operate a process, run a machine, or be an 'expert' in any given topic.
No guarantee of accuracy, claims of ownership on other people's work, or use right is made on the individual subject content in Technology Profiles. It IS the structure, operational function and character of Technology Profiles as an "electronic file cabinet" that IS proprietary and uniquely the ownership of the author and his employer.
If you've ever used Windows based Help Menus, you already know how to use this program. Along the left side of the screen, there is a window that contains "Books" and "Pages" (or other similar icons depending on your version and configuration). Clicking on any Book shows the Pages (Page Icon with '?' on it). (It may be a Double or Single Click, depending on your set-up and where you are in the program.)
Clicking on any Page opens that Page and its contents
in the main/right hand window. You
may scroll the page or move around by selecting links. Links
are in Blue, Purple or other colors depending on what kind of link it
is and if it has been used during the current session. More
information is sometimes available in 'pop-up windows' when the mouse
pointer is moved over Topics that contain them. "Back"
and "Forward" buttons are used just like the internet browsers.
NOTE: If a link is to a web site, you MUST have an internet browser/service installed. If a link is to an external file, you must also have that file installed on your computer along with Technology Profiles. Adobe PDFs and PowerPoint Presentations are always external files. Functional Spreadsheets and Word Processing templates are also external files. You must also have the applicable software to open external files. External files appear as a 'button' that contains the name of the external file.
Version Content Notes:
Version 2.0 released in late January 2004 contains the following major upgrades:
Completion of major Electric Technologies created as place-holders only in V1.5
New Electric and Gas Technologies not in V1.5
Cross-Indexing between Electric and Gas Technologies
Reformatting of most of the Gas Technologies pages to match a consistent new TechPro-wide format of 'Applications' 'Overview' 'Details - How It Works, etc.' 'More Information Links' and 'Manufacturers - sources and links'
Many updated URL links, company name changes, removal of companies that no longer exist, and the addition of some new companies/resources to existing technology pages
Version 1.5, Released in March 2003, contains natural gas technologies and the start of the Electric Technologies Section. It also includes major new section in Lighting, and a new Glossary Section. The Index has been removed but the entire program is searchable by clicking on the Search Button at the top of each page.
