Cummins

Cummins EngineCommercial power systems, under the Cummins Onan name in North America, consist of 5kW-2MW generator sets, controls, transfer switches and paralleling switchgears for customers such as office buildings, retail stores, telecommunications, hospitals, schools, and factories. In countries where utility power is unreliable or unavailable, they are used as a prime source of power.

Generator sets marketed under the Onan brand are used primarily in recreational vehicles, commercial vehicles, and pleasure boats.

Our spark-ignited generator sets, 6.0 to 150 kW, are designed for applications that call for gaseous fuel options as a result of fuel containment, economic and emissions considerations, or compliance with local codes. These generator sets have fuel systems for both natural gas and propane, making them a convenient choice for a variety of life-support and related applications, including small health care facilities and retail businesses.

Standby Gensets

Most Cummins units are primarily marketed as stand-by power. Although most have prime power duty ratings, their web site does not promote continuous duty cogeneration. These units range in size from the small GTA5.9 Engine with a 41 kW Generator, up to the GTA50 with an 850 kW Generator. See the full line in the PDF Literature below.

The Lean Burn QS Line IS promoted as a cogeneration system.
